TextileCost
About

Built by people who live inside the export industry.

TextileCost was built by a small team with deep roots in garment export and manufacturing. We spent years managing style costings in spreadsheets, chasing exchange rates across tabs, and rebuilding numbers every time a fabric price changed. We built the tool we wished existed.

Why we built it.

The first version was unremarkable software, but it changed how the merchandising team worked. Costings stopped getting lost. PPTs started landing in buyers’ inboxes the same afternoon, not the next week. The merchandising team stopped fighting Excel and started spending time on the actual quality questions: shade variation, fabric substitution, MOQ.

When peer exporters in Tirupur, Delhi and Chittagong began asking “can we use yours?”, we took the hint. TextileCost is the productised version. Same tool, multi-tenant, with every setting configurable per workspace: prefix, currency, branding, buyer defaults.

What we believe.

  • Your data is yours. One-click backup. Use your own database server on Enterprise. Move between Cloud and Enterprise in a single click, both ways. No lock-in.
  • Industry vocabulary, not consultant-speak. CMT, GSM, L-Short, recutting, lining cutting, tailor commission. All first-class fields, not workarounds.
  • The merchandising team knows what it needs. Auto-saved drafts, restore on return, edit history, multi-currency with FX buffer, per-buyer defaults.
  • Pitches matter. A buyer-ready PPT and a properly addressed enquiry email are not afterthoughts. They are the daily output of the merchandising team.
